  • Basic Exam: FREE A thorough physical exam is done to the outside of the head, looking for unusual swellings or tenderness. The inside of the mouth is carefully observed, again looking for any swelling, discolorations, or other abnormalities that could indicate a problem. A periodontal exam is included, using a dental mirror and dental pick to assess the gingival and periodontal health, checking for interdental spaces, loose teeth, tooth decay and fractures. The overall health and condition of the teeth and the supporting tissue are considered.
  • Performance dental & balance: $195 includes: 3-Point balance with custom bit seats for the avid rider.  Also included in the performance float is the NEW  Equi-Benz teeth desensitizer.  Equi-Benz is burnished onto the surface of the bit seats to ensure comfort for your horse by decreasing and eliminating the possibilty for teeth sensitivity from the contact with the bit.  Shown to last up to 6 months!!!
  • Maintenance float after inital visit every 6 months:  Check Special Offer

Tetanus protection is required, either that the horse has had a tetanus shot within the last 8 months, or we can administer at time of treatment. We carry all vaccines with us, if the owner desires to do yearly/seasonal vaccinations at that time.

With all the variables inherent to doing this type of dental work on horses of varying ages, needs and sizes, an average cost will vary.  The initial visit is by far the most expensive, as this is when the majority of corrections are made. When the horse is considered to be on an "bi-annual" basis, or yearly consistent dental treatments the maintenance cost is considerably less.

We use a 2007 computer based dental chart & DVM Manager that retains dental condition of your horse and the work that was done. We refer back to your horse's chart in subsequent visits, giving us an overall understanding of how your horse's mouth wears and what his needs tend to be and what to watch out for in the future.
